The trail to Horton Peak is a popular hike in the Summer and for good reason. The view of the massive White Cloud Mountains is impressive. The view of the Sawtooth Range is equally breathtaking. The trail climbs to the summit in 3.0 miles with just over 2,700 feet of elevation gain. USGS Horton Peak

The Horton Peak lookout is not open to the public.
The Horton Peak trail was in good shape and was easy to follow
as of September 27, 2000. The access road is rutted and is better suited
for 4WDs.
