Southwest Face, Class 2

The Climb

From the base of the southwest face, scramble northeast up easy scrub/dirt through a wide break in the summit cliff band to reach the summit plateau. The high point seems to be about 100 feet or so east of the top of this break in the cliffs. I built a summit cairn here. From the summit, return to the base of the southwest face then bushwhack southwest across and up a few dry sagebrush gullies to reach the saddle underneath Twin Buttes West. Bushwhack southwest then west down through two or three drysagebrush gullies to return to the 2-track desert road. Hike northwest down the 2-track road for just over ½ mile to return to your parked vehicle.
