Baldy Mountain straddles the Idaho-Montana border but its high point is in Montana. Nevertheless, it is a beautiful peak with over 2,000 feet of prominence and worth the effort for Idaho peakbaggers. The route information in the book will get you to the summit. USGS Slide Mountain
Baldy Mountain as viewed from nearby Point 9880+. Point 9880+ has the ID/MT boundary post and Baldy Mountain has nothing. Go figure. The high point is NOT the gentle hump in the center of the photo. It is the hump to the left of it and resides in Montana. Livingston Douglas Photo
