Elevation: 11,602 ft
Prominence: 1,782
Climbing and access information for this peak is on Pages 236-237 of the book.
Glassford Peak is the 42nd-highest Idaho summit. While it is briefly visible from ID-75, its summit is only reached after a long approach hike from the East Fork Salmon River or via a rugged ridge walk from the west. Both options are discussed in the book. The route that I describe in the book as using the peak’s West Ridge should in fact have been identified as the Southwest Ridge. Be sure to climb South Glassford on the same day. USGS Ryan Peak
