Southeast Ridge, Class 2
The summit can be reached from any place along FSR-444. The southeast ridge begins at the sharp turn just before the road descends down to the Upper Gospel Lake Viewpoint. There is parking along the road. The route ascends through a mixture of meadow and forest to the summit ridge. Once the southeast ridge merges with the peak’s long summit ridge, trees and granite outcrops complicate the route. Of course, the high point is at the far end of the summit ridge.
