Climbing and access information for this peak is on Page 111 of the book. I previously grouped this peak with the the Grass Mountain Subrange of the Salmon River Mountains. However, after hiking the all of the peaks and discussions with local climbers I removed it from the the subrange. Updated February 2021
Granite Peak is capped by a fire lookout. A good trail leads to its lower western summit and the staffed lookout. The actual summit is found at the east end of the summit block. USGS Brundage Mountain

Follow the Goose Lake Road past the Brundage Ski resort until you reach the signed trailhead for FST-165, [(B)(1)(a) Page 134].
