Northwest Ridge, Class 3/Class 4 Summit Block
This route involves a strenuous climb just to get to the Galena Peak/Peak 10500 (Senate Peak) saddle before you will even see the peak. Drop down into the West Fork East Fork Salmon River to roughly the 9,600-foot contour. Cross over to the base of the Northwest Ridge. Climb the ridge to the summit block. Use the link below to access George Reinier’s trip report for additional details of the climb from Senate Creek.
