Peak 5016 is perfectly situated to take in the entire Reynolds Creek drainage and the many peaks that surround that high mountain valley. The peak is an easy hike of 0.7 miles and 400 feet of elevation gain via its North Ridge. Park and hike through the sagebrush to the summit. There are dozens of Owyhee Mountains peaks, named and unnamed, that you can view from the summit including Quicksilver Mountain, Hayden Peak, Soldier Cap and Wilson Peak. USGS Reynolds
Access
Access the ridge from the Reynolds Stage Coach Road/Rabbit Creek Road. Access this paved and then good gravel road from ID-78 at the east end of Murphy, Idaho. Follow this road south toward Reynolds until it crosses the peak’s North Ridge at a 4,586 foot pass. Park along the side of the road.

Follow the sagebrush covered north ridge to the summit in just under 0.5 miles with 430 feet of elevation gain.
