Peak 8071, which has slightly less than 300 feet of prominence, is located southwest of the Grass Mountains High Point. Peak 8071 is a short stroll from that peak. Use the directions on the Grass Mountains High Point page to get to the West Side of the high point. From the saddle, keen eyes will spot the remnant of a trail that can be followed southwest down to the saddle below Peak 8071. From the saddle, it is a short climb up grass-covered slopes to the summit. Class 2. USGS Hazard Lake
