This peak is not in the book. Published June 2018
Thunderbolt Ridge is located north of Warm Lake and just southwest of Thunderbolt Mountain. John Platt made the only recorded ascent. His trip report is linked below. It should also be possible to traverse the ridge between this peak and Thunderbolt Mountain. USGS Warm Lake
Access
The book lists two access routes for Thunderbolt Mountain with Cabin Creek the recommended route [(C)(1.2)(a) on Page 138.] John used this approach which will work if you want to follow his route or try a ridge traverse after first climbing Thunderbolt Mountain.
Platt Because It’s There Route, Class 2
John’s route worked for him because he has boundless energy and due to the early date (May 8th). The closed road and snow conditions following the trail to Thunderbolt Mountain and then attempting the ridge traverse was not an option. Read John’s trip report for his details. My recommendation is to wait until the snow is gone, hike up to the lookout on Thunderbolt Mountain, and then decide if you want to traverse over to Thunderbolt Ridge.
