Access and Route, Class 1
FSR-126/Boulder Grade Creek/James Creek Road [(F)(1.1) on Page 155]. FSR-126 runs between Rocky Bar and Atlanta. Follow the road north from Rocky Bar for 8.0 miles. Turn left onto FSR-126B. FSR-126B climbs all the way to the summit of Peak 8248. The road reaches a good parking spot in 0.1 miles and then makes a torturous, steep climb to the summit. I recommend that you walk the road. From the parking spot, it is 0.5 miles with 570 feet of elevation gain to the summit.
