Triple Peaks is a beautiful ridgeline peak that towers over Trail Creek Road and is due north of the Boundary Campground. It is one of several ranked summits that are on a long ridge that separates Trail Creek from Lake Creek. Triple Peaks is most easily climbed via its south ridge from a trailhead parking area along Trail Creek Road just north of the Boundary Campground. Unlike nearby Sun Benchmark (7,681 feet), there are no trails to the top of Peak 8398. USGS Sun Valley

Access
From the junction of Sun Valley Road and Dollar Road in Sun Valley, drive northeast up Sun Valley Road (which becomes Trail Creek Road) for 2.6 miles to a large trailhead parking area just past the Boundary Campground. Park here (6,085 feet).
South Ridge, Class 2
The Climb
From the trailhead parking area, walk a short distance up Trail Creek Road to reach the base of the south ridge, just past a prominent dry gully. Bushwhack steeply north up the rounded ridge through thick sagebrush to reach shorter, more-gapped sagebrush higher up. Continue grinding up the obvious ridge with a mid-section of shale talus/scree to navigate. Reach a ridge corner high up (at about 7,950 feet) with a cairn, post, and sheet metal triangular flag in it. From here, scramble northwest to the summit. The ridge crest provides the easiest going through short vegetation. The gentle summit hump had no summit cairn, so I built a decent one. When you descend this route, remember to head right/south at the cairned ridge corner in order to reach Trail Creek Road near the trailhead parking area.
