Peak 8807 is located on a forested, high ridgeline southeast of Yellowjacket Lake. It can be climbed directly from FSR-114 from Frog Meadows to its northwest. Alternatively, Peak 8807 can be climbed in combination with its [higher] neighbor to the southwest (Peak 8962) as I did.

The Climb

From the 8,500-foot connecting saddle, scramble northeast then east then north to the small summit of Peak 8807. The summit is a collection of large boulders and a sagebrush bush. It is open and airy. The terrain on the southwest ridge is mostly forested with a gravel base. There is not too much deadfall but there are some ridge pines to skirt.
