Access
Access is via the Cougar Basin Trail/FST-004 [(B)(3.2)(c) and (c.1) on Page 137]. In 2000, the Forest Service reported that the Center Mountain Trail was in disrepair. As of 2020, the Center Mountain Trail has, unfortunately, all but vanished for most of its distance. Dave Pahlas found only brief sections of the trail as he traversed the ridge from south to north.
