I believe that this historically important formation is currently off limits to climbers. Consult the City of Rocks National Reserve personnel and Dave Bingham’s excellent guidebook before considering an attempt on this peak. The highest spire is called The Eberhorn. The route is rated at YDS 5.9. I made it to within 25 feet of the summit in 1980 before bailing. USGS Almo
